Human and Hospital, Face to Face
The logo redesign for “The University of Tokyo Hospital,” one of Japan’s foremost medical institutions. The hospital is committed to advancing clinical medicine, nurturing future medical professionals, and providing optimal care for each patient.
The motif is built on the letter “h,” representing both Human and Hospital. Two facing “h”s form the image of people seated in dialogue, with the initial “T” for Tokyo rising at the center. This design embodies the sincere relationship between patient and physician while reflecting the academic authority unique to a university hospital. It stands as a concise symbol of the institution’s guiding philosophy and its public mission.
人と医療が向き合う
日本を代表する大学病院「東京大学医学部附属病院」のロゴリニューアル。同院は、臨床医学の発展と医療人の育成に取り組み、患者一人ひとりに最適な医療を提供することを理念としています。
モチーフはヒューマンとホスピタルの頭文字「h」。向かい合う二つの「h」は、椅子に座って対話する姿をかたどり、その中央に東京大学病院の頭文字「T」が立ち上がります。「患者」と「医師」が真摯に向き合う姿勢と、大学病院ならではのアカデミックな印象を重ね合わせ、理念と公共的使命を端的に象徴するロゴとしました。
