Transcribing the Everyday

Exhibited at an eco-bag showcase held at the lifestyle shop Heidi in Nakameguro, the work “Convenience Store Bag” redraws the familiar plastic bag of convenience stores—consumed in vast numbers each day—onto a cotton tote using marker pen.

A symbol of disposability is reconfigured into a sustainable, one-of-a-kind object. By bringing the opposing notions of “eco” and “consumption” into a single form, the work turns an ordinary bag into a quiet critique of everyday habits.

日常の転写

中目黒の雑貨店ハイジで開催されたエコバッグ展に出品した作品「Convenience Store Bag」。日常で大量に消費されるコンビニ袋をモチーフに、そのデザインを綿素材のエコバッグへマジックペンで描き写しました。

社会における使い捨ての象徴を、持続可能な素材と一点物として再構築。「エコ」と「消費」という相反する価値を同居させ、日常のありふれた袋を批評的な表現へと転化しました。
