Whose Poo?
Turning the Toilet into an Edutainment Space
Creative direction for the toilet calendar “Whose Poop?,” produced by Aeon Fantasy to promote its vision of combining play and learning. Traditionally distributed as a year-end calendar, the format was renewed to show the potential for discovery hidden in daily life, presented with humor and curiosity.
The project focused on the household toilet, a space far from both entertainment and education. Using animal droppings as clues, the calendar invited users to guess their owners, offering a playful way to learn about diets and habitats. Its “answer check” reinforced learning, giving fresh surprises to both children and adults.
On the front, monthly dates were designed as an “intestine,” visualizing food’s journey through the body. The back humorously explained each animal’s diet and the color, shape, and smell of its feces. By transforming a mundane space into a site of discovery, the project created an edutainment experience where play and learning converge.
トイレをエデュテイメント空間に
トイレ専用カレンダー「だれのうんち？」のクリエイティブ。子ども向けアミューズメント施設を運営するイオンファンタジーが掲げる“遊び×学び”のビジョンを発信する施策として、毎年配布してきた年末カレンダーを刷新しました。日常に潜む学びの可能性を、ユーモアとともに提示する試みです。
最もエンタメや教育から遠い空間である家庭のトイレに着目。動物のうんちを手がかりに主を当てる仕組みを用い、遊びながら生態や食生活を学べる体験を設計しました。「答え合わせ」を通じて理解が自然に定着する構造とし、子どもだけでなく大人にも新鮮な驚きをもたらす内容としました。
表面は月初から月末の日付を“腸”に見立て、食べ物が体内を通り排出に至る流れを可視化。裏面では各動物の食性やうんちの特徴をユーモラスに解説し、めくるほど知識が積み上がる設計としました。日常の空間を小さな学びの場へと転換することで、遊びと教育が一体となったエデュテイメント体験を創出しました。
