CROSSTALK
CROSSTALK
Tracing the Path of a Goal with Threads
Branding for “CROSSTALK,” a communication tool by the Japan Football Association. Created to promote the value of Asian football to the world, the publication featured a dialogue between former Japan national team coach Ivica Osim and the JFA Vice President.
The concept “CROSSTALK” was visualized by arranging circular markers on a pitch-like background and linking them with strings to trace the flow of passes and goals. The act of untying the string itself became an experience of recalling the memory of play.
Each variation extracted goal scenes from different matches and symbolically reconstructed those decisive moments. By overlaying memorable plays with a vision for the game’s future, the publication embodied the idea of “CROSS,” presenting both tactical detail and dynamism.
