Ears of Rice that Sway and Glow in Response to People

Inspired by golden rice swaying in the wind, “INAHO” is an interior light shaped like an ear of grain. Each stem, only 3mm in diameter, is made of carbon fiber and tipped with a small golden tube containing an LED. Tiny perforations in the tube allow dots of light to seep out, evoking the grains of rice. By weaving a natural motif into a minimal form, the design achieves a presence that is both delicate and warm.

A motion sensor embedded in the base causes the stems to gently sway when someone approaches, like rice bending in the breeze. When multiple units are placed together, the illuminated ears respond to human movement, creating a poetic landscape in hallways or entrances. By extracting the essence of nature and reconstructing it with the fewest elements, INAHO becomes a product that conveys both fresh surprise and approachable familiarity.

人の動きに呼応して揺れ輝く稲穂

黄金の稲穂が風にそよぐ姿から着想を得た照明「INAHO」。直径3mmの細いカーボンファイバーの茎の先端には、LEDを収めた金色の筒を配置しました。筒には細かな穴が空けられ、稲の籾を思わせる光が点のようににじみ出ます。ミニマルな造形に自然のモチーフを織り込み、繊細さと温もりを兼ね備えた存在感を生み出しました。

土台には人感センサーを内蔵し、人が近づくと稲穂のようにゆっくりと揺れ始めます。複数本を並べれば、光の穂が人の動きに応じてたなびく風景が現れ、通路やエントランスを詩的に演出。自然の特徴を抽出し、最小限の要素で再構築することで、新鮮な驚きと親しみを備えたプロダクトに仕上げました。
