Watary｜Tokyo Blue
Melodies Radiating into Light
Artwork for “Tokyo Blue,” an album by Kazuhisa Watari—known as the vocalist and pianist of the piano trio band Fumido. Built on an urban blues foundation, the work is woven with a warm, human sound.
The jacket depicts Watari in his trademark hat at the piano, with melodies overflowing from his hands and spreading outward as light. It symbolizes not only the solitude and melancholy born from the bustle of the city, but also the hope and warmth that music can bring.
This world was further extended into merchandise such as a hand towel embroidered with a hat over a dotted pattern inspired by his shirt, and a tote bag featuring a keyboard motif. Each item carries forward the narrative of the jacket, allowing the resonance of the album to be felt in everyday life.
光となって広がる旋律
渡Watary「東京ブルー」のアートワーク。都会的なブルースを基調にしながら温かみあるサウンドで綴られた本作は、ピアノトリオバンド風味堂のボーカル＆ピアノマンとして知られる渡和久のアルバムです。
ジャケットには、トレードマークでもあるハットを被りピアノに向かうWataryの姿を描き、その手元からあふれる旋律が光となって広がっていく様子を表現。都市の喧騒の中で生まれる孤独や憂いを抱えつつも、音楽がもたらす希望と温もりを象徴しています。
さらにその世界観は、シャツのドット模様にハットを重ねて刺繍したハンドタオルや、鍵盤をモチーフとしたトートバッグといったグッズにも展開。ジャケットの物語性を受け継ぎながら、日常の中でも音楽の余韻を感じられるアイテムとしました。
