Aete, A Chosen Frozen Meal
Branding for “Aete,” a frozen meal subscription launched by Ajinomoto in 2024. Using proprietary rapid-freezing technology, the service locks in the natural flavor and color of ingredients, offering complete meals that combine seasoned rice and side dishes into a single, well-balanced serving.
The brand redefined frozen meals not as compromise or substitute, but as a positive choice that supports individual lifestyles. Its name, “Aete,” written with a comma, conveys both intent and pause, leaving room for interpretation. It symbolizes the small but deliberate decisions that transform eating into a positive act.
Key visuals paired refined photography with copywriting that highlighted the challenge of preparing handmade meals every day. The phrase “Aete,” positioned at the turning point of the text, clarified that these meals are not chosen out of necessity, but consciously selected to support the health and well-being of oneself and one’s family.
あえて、選ぶ冷凍弁当
冷凍弁当ブランド「あえて、」のブランディング。味の素株式会社が2024年に立ち上げたサブスクリプション型サービスで、独自の急速冷凍技術により素材本来の美味しさと彩りを閉じ込め、まぜご飯とおかずを一皿にまとめた“一食完結型”を特徴としています。
冷凍弁当を「妥協」や「代替」ではなく、自分らしい暮らしを支える前向きな選択肢として再定義。その思想を象徴するのが、接続詞に句点を添えて余韻と余白を残すネーミング「あえて、」。日常の中に小さな意志を宿し、選ぶこと自体をポジティブに変える姿勢を込めました。
キービジュアルでは、上質な写真で商品の魅力を際立たせつつ、コピーの構成に工夫を凝らしました。「毎日手作りを続けることの難しさ」を描いた文章の後半に「あえて、」を配置することで、この弁当が「仕方なく選ぶもの」ではなく、自分や家族の健やかな心身を思い、あえて選ぶ一膳であることを鮮明に伝えています。
